Hanimaadhoo-India first flight greatly successful: Island Aviation

Island Aviation has said that the first flight from Hanimaadhoo International Airport to Trivandrum, which was conducted last night, was greatly successful.

Island Aviation’s Head of Administration Ali Nashaath said today that the Maldivian flight took off from Hanimaadhoo Airport at 1:15 am and landed on Trivandrum Airport at 2:30 am. He said that the flight was greatly successful and said that it traveled with 90 percent capacity.

“The flight was greatly success. God willing, everything went well, just as we planned,” Nashaath said.

He said that the new route between Hanimaadhoo and India is gaining good support and that starting from the third flight onwards, they will be able to provide visas along with the each ticket purchased. He said that flights are scheduled for early mornings on Sundays and Thursdays.

The price per up-and-down ticket from Hanimaadhoo to Trivendrum stands at $199 (MVR3068.58) for the first three months. Island aviation has announced that they will start providing visas to India along with every ticket purchase, starting from the third flight onwards. Fifty-seater Dash model airplanes are to be utilized in this route.
