Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), on Friday, announced the commencement of surgeries at the new state-of-the-art Hybrid Operating Theatre.
The hospital made the announcement via a post on X.
As per the hospital, the Hybrid Operating Theatre that also features a Cath Lab will enhance the hospital’s services for neurological, cardiac, and peripheral interventional procedures – paving the way to bring world-class care to the Maldives.

The theatre is located on the 11th floor of Dharumavantha Hospital.
Notably, the theatre has been mobilized six years following its inception.
Dharumavantha Hospital was developed during former president Abdulla Yameen’s Abdul Gayyoom’s administration in a project valued at over MVR 2 billion.
Some floors of the hospital is presently utilized by IGMH in the provision of services.
