Viral TikTok star Chon finds ambergris from Maafushi beach

Asim ‘Chon’ Waheed, known for his viral catchphrase ‘Believe me, sense make’, has found what he believes to be a lump of ambergris from a beach in K. Maafushi.

Chon, who works at a water sports center in Maafushi, shared the news in a video he posted on the social media app TikTok on Tuesday.

“That’s why we are saying we are the cool people, sitting in a cool way, doing the cool thing, doesn’t matter who cares! Check this!” he says, as he shows the lump of ambergris stored in an ice box.

He said that he picked it up from the beach in the morning.

“My fish tank is expensive. Better than Bill Gates,” he jokes.

“Respect the ocean. You are gonna be loved.”

Chon uses his TikTok account to promote Maldives’ natural beauty and water sports facilities. His videos are wildly popular.
