The Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the winners of its inaugural ‘Bank Fund’ program – an initiative launched by the national bank to empower local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), charity organization and clubs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.
The bank announced the five recipients of the ‘Bank Fund’ this year on Wednesday. They are:
BML’s Deputy CEO and in-charge of the bank, Aishath Noordeen said that the ‘Bank Fund’ represents BML’s commitment to collaborate with NGOs to bring positive change across the Maldives.
“We are incredibly proud to support these five projects that will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on our communities,” she added.
The 'Bank Fund' is an annual program to select five projects each year to receive MVR 200,000 in funding.
BML said it remains dedicated to empowering local communities and building a brighter future for the Maldives.
