China’s support and assistance over the years has been instrumental in improving the life of the Maldivian people, says the People’s National Congress (PNC).

The Maldives’ ruling party made the remark in a congratulatory statement on Tuesday, on occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

In the statement, the PNC extended warm congratulations to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Communist Party of China (CPC), and the people of China.

The PNC said it was proud of the enduring relationship it shares with the CPC, which it said was built on “mutual respect, collaboration, and a shared vision for the prosperity of our people.”

The PNC said that over the years, the relationship has been a beacon of trust and cooperation, further strengthening the close ties between Maldives and China.

The party expressed gratitude for the sincere support and assistance extended by the Chinese government to Maldives.

“…China’s contributions to the development of our nation – in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and beyond – have played an instrumental role in improving the quality of life for the Maldivian people,” said PNC.

The PNC offered heartfelt wishes for continued peace, prosperity, and success to the Chinese people.

The party also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the bond between Maldives and China, and furthering the shared goals of development, stability, and mutual progress.
