Police working on sending Kulhudhuffushi man’s body overseas for autopsy

Police said on Saturday that they working on sending the body of a man found dead in the Kulhudhuffushi City’s lagoon earlier this week overseas for an autopsy.

Mohamed Hassan, 36, Daisyfehi, Kulhudhuffushi, was found dead in the lagoon of the city on Wednesday morning. His body was taken to the Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital, which confirmed he was already deceased.

A police spokesperson said on Saturday morning that the police are working on sending his body overseas for an autopsy. However, the spokesperson did not say when they expect it to happen.

Mohamed Hassan’s death had come a day after a woman was found dead in N. Holhudhoo with visible injuries on her body. Her body was buried on Thursday after forensic analysis.
