Man found wounded in Male’ guesthouse

A man has been found injured in a guesthouse in the Maldivian capital.

The police identified the victim only as a “Maldivian male”.

A police spokesperson said on Monday morning that the police went to the guesthouse, located in the Maafannu district of Male’ City, following a report of loss of contact with an individual who lives in a room at the guesthouse.

“The police entered the room and found him in a wounded state,” said the spokesperson.

 He has been taken to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

The police did not specify the nature of the injuries, but said that investigators were at the scene.
