Islamic Ministry launches online Sadaqat service

The Islamic Ministry has introduced a special page on its website to enable online donations of Sadaqat or charity.

The page was launched by Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed in a ceremony on Wednesday at the Islamic Center in Male’.

Donations can be made through the Islamic Ministry to support Quran memorization classes, mosques, umrah pilgrimage, higher education in Islamic studies, the development of mosques and Islamic libraries, and sponsorship of religious activities.

Speaking at Wednesday’s ceremony, Shaheem spoke about the importance of charity.

He said that launching the online Sadaqat service will make it easier for people to give charity.

He encouraged people to donate.

The Sadaqat page contains related information, including the mosques built with the help of donations, as well as reports released by various funds run under the ministry.
