Dhiraagu has increased the excitement surrounding this year’s Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) by introducing a new category – the Office & Resort – 5K team event.
By launching the brand-new category, Dhiraagu seeks to provide the opportunity for people working at different resorts and offices to participate as a team and represent their organizations at a competitive level.
With the newly introduced Office & Resort category, employees of these organizations can sign up in teams of four in the 5K team event.

According to Dhiraagu, anemployee of any organization can participate in this category, including resorts, governments entities, SOEs and the private sector. Each organization can register multiple teams to represent them in DMRR 2024 and stand the chance to be the winning team.
Winners for the Office & Resort category will be chosen based on the sum of the finish time of all members of the team who complete the race within the cut-off time of 45 minutes.

Teams can consist of all-male, all-female or a mix of both. However, participants who register for the Office & Resort category – 5K team event can only participate in this category.
DMRR is the first and only international run held in the Maldives, listed in the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) World Running calendar with a World Athletics certified race route.
This year’s DMRR marks the 15th edition of this largest and most anticipated run in the Maldives, and is scheduled to be held on October 25 at the Central Park, Hulhumale’.
Similar to previous years, DMRR 2024 is dedicated towards the social cause of child protection, one of the key focus areas of Dhiraagu’s corporate social responsibility program. The run will provide a platform for NGOs working in the area of child protection to raise awareness and funds for their cause.
Registrations for DMRR 2024 are now open and will be closed once the limit of 4,000 participants is reached.
