Fenaka Corporation and Villa College have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to facilitate capacity development and training for the utility provider's staff.
Under the agreement, Villa College will facilitate training programs to Fenaka staff and provide assistance in conducting research into the energy sector.
"Besides training programs, employees will receive certification in compliance with the URA standards under the agreement," Fenaka said.
Fenaka Corporation Managing Director Muaz Rasheed and Villa College's Vice Rector Dr. Ali Najeeb signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Apart from Villa College, Fenaka Corporation had earlier entered into an agreement with Maldives Polytechnic to facilitate capacity development and training programs to the utility provider's employees.
Under this agreement, Maldives Polytechnic will train Fenaka staff to enhance their understanding of the Water and Sanitation Act and the Utility Regulatory Act, as well as enhance "industry experience" opportunities for graduates.
