Pakistan High Commission gifts TVs and computers to two schools

Pakistan High Commission in the Maldives has gifted TVs and computers to two schools managed by islanders Education. 

The items were gifted to Ameer Ahmed Preschool and Kangaroo Kids & Billabong High International School Addu Campus.

The handover of the items took place during a ceremony held at Billabong High International School in Male’ City. Pakistan High Commissioner to the Maldives Vice Admiral (R) Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani handed over the items.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, High Commissioner Gilani highlighted the importance of science and technology in the education system.

“Science and technology must be an integral part of our education system, being engines of growth in modern economies,” he said, adding that he expects the gifted TVs and computers to aid in further enhancing the digital learning environment at the schools.

The handover ceremony was attended by the principals of the respective schools, Deputy High Commissioner Zulqurnain Ahmad and officials from Islanders Education in addition to teachers, students and parents.

Adhly Rasheed, the executive director of Islanders Education who also spoke at the ceremony, extended sincere gratitude to the people and government of Pakistan for the assistance of equipment to the schools.
