Bad weather forecasted for next three days

Maldives Meteoritical Service (Met Office) has forecasted bad weather for various Maldivian regions in the next three days.

The national weather forecasting body has issued a nationwide white alert until 17:00pm this evening warning of bad weather conditions.

In this regard, Met Office said heavy rain and thunderstorms with gusts of 40 miles per hour is expected during this period.

Speaking to Sun regarding the weather forecast, Met Office said bad weather is expected nationwide over the next three days,

They have forecasted heavy rain and thunderstorms across all Maldivian regions in the next 24 hours with gusts of 40 miles per hour during showers.

Wind speeds are expected from southwest/westerly directions between seven and 17 miles per hour. 

The sea, as per the office, is expected to be mildly rough in the northern region and moderately calm in the central and southern regions. The sea, however, will be rough in all regions during showers.
