Maldives has welcomed over 76,000 tourists so far in July, indicating a notable 11.8 percent increment compared to the corresponding period last year.
Moreover, the arrival figure for July 1st to 15th this year is an increment compared to the numbers of both 2022 and last year; as such arrivals in the same period for 2022 stood at 66,830 and in said period last year, the arrival figure stood at 68,723.
The annual arrivals to the Maldives from January 1st to July 15th reached a total of 1,092,366 - which is a 9.4 percent annual increment compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Total arrivals for the same annual period stood at 880,049 and 998,330 in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

The daily arrival average is currently at 5,545 in annual terms, while the average duration of stay in annual terms is now 7.7 days.
Highest single-day arrival was noted on July 15th. Maldives welcomed 5,773 tourists. The lowest single-day arrival was observed on July 9th, on which Maldives welcomed 4,169 tourists.
China still dominates the top 10 source markets to the Maldives, with a little over 136,000 tourist arrivals so far this year. Russia is still maintaining its second rank with over 114,000 arrivals.
UK is ranked third with a little over 98,000 arrivals. India, which had been the top source market from 2020 to 2023, is still in sixth spot since it slipped earlier this year.
