Maldives Meteorological Center (MET Office) has forecast bad weather conditions across the Maldives in the next 24 hours.
While speaking to 'Sun', the weather forecast authority said that northern and central parts of Maldives will experience heavy rainfall coupled with thunder, and southern parts may experience brief rainfall as well.
However, wind speeds are expected from south-southeast and west-southwest directions between five and 15 miles per hour, with gusts expected around 35 miles per hour for southern parts.
Although seas for southern parts are expected to be moderate with sea swells expected to reach between two to five feet, wind speeds may become extreme.
Generally, the Maldives experiences stormy weather conditions during the months of June and July.
