Arrest made in Kulhudhuffushi for alleged drug trafficking

Police, on Friday, have arrested a suspect they believe to be involved in drug trafficking and sale from HDh. Kulhudhuffushi.

Police said a case was reported to the authority at approximately 9:38am this morning regarding possible drug trafficking and sale.

They confirmed that a suspect had been arrested in connection with the case which is now under investigation.

Drug trafficking, sale and abuse remain a prevalent issue in the Maldives with millions worth of drugs seized by authorities annually.
