Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the Maldives Matrek Al Dosari has congratulated table tennis star, Fathima Dheema Ali, the first Maldivian athlete to qualify for Olympics.
In a post on X on Sunday, Saudi Arabian Embassy in the Maldives said Ambassador Dosari congratulated Dheema on her accomplishment and presented her a token of appreciation.
The Embassy also noted its ongoing collaboration with the Table Tennis Association of Maldives to support the launch of training programs for youth across Maldivian atolls, which the Embassy states was set to kick off in Addu and Fuvahmulah cities.

Dheema qualified for Olympics by winning the Olympic Qualifying Table Tennis Final in the South Asian region in the singles category which was held in Nepal on May 15th.
She was welcomed back to the Maldives in a ceremony filled with grandeur and pomp on May 17th.
Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has also congratulated Dheema and assured his administration’s full support for her in this journey.
