First couple travels to perform Umrah at Saudi King’s invitation

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Ahmed traveled to Saudi Arabia on Friday to perform Umrah on the gracious hospitality of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

Several senior government officials are accompanying the first couple on this trip; Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, Chief Imaam of Islamic Centre Sheikh Mohamed Latheef, The President’s Office’s Chief of Staff Abdulla Fayaz Minister at the President’s Office for Presidential Affairs Ali Arif and Minister at the President’s Office; Abdulla Nasir.

The first couple and the accompanying delegation traveled on an aircraft arranged by the Saudi government.

The first couple returned to the Maldives after an unofficial visit to Singapore on Sunday.
