MNU opens enrollment for August intake

The Maldives National University (MNU) on Monday has opened enrollment for August intake.

During the press conference held by MNU, the university's Vice Chancellor Shehenaz Adam said enrollments were opened for a total of 106 different courses.

The courses include a newly introduced Bachelors of Statistics course as well, which was launched by MNU Business School. The new, three-year long course is designed to provide up to date knowledge on the collection and management statistics.

"I would also like to announce that besides this, we plan to introduce the new fisheries and agriculture courses with the establishment of the fisheries college by next term," Shehenaz added.

She however, said details of these courses will be shared later.

MNU's Registrar Mohamed Samir said studies of the upcoming intake will commence on August 18, 2024. He added the courses have been categorized into two groups, which are;

• Enrollment based on student application order
• Enrollment based on merit for students completing admission

Applications are accepted online via MNU's portal.

"However, we will still accept hard copy applications at the reception and from the campuses in atolls," Samir added.
