Shahid's gratitude to Pres for father's funeral arrangements

MDP President and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid on Wednesday, has expressed gratitude to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for the orderly funeral arrangements of his late father, Sheikh Moosal Jameel.

Earlier, President Muizzu had said he was dishearted to hear the demise of Sheikh Moosa Jameel, and extended his condolences to Shahid and his family.

Following his father's funeral after Asr prayer on Wednesday, Shahid took to X (formerly Twitter) thanked President Muizzu for his condolences and the arrangements made for the funeral under the direct instructions of the president.

Besides President Muizzu, the ruling PNC and other political leaders had extended their condolences to Shahid as well.

Sheikh Moosa Jameel's funeral prayer was held following Asr prayer and was buried at Galolhu cemetery.

The late Sheikh's ancestry is linked to the royal Huravee dynasty.
