Ooredoo Maldives has announced its Ooredoo Nations EAFC Maldives Championship Contender Series results on Tuesday.
The competition, which kicked off last Thursday ran until Saturday, and was held in association with Maldives E-Sports Association (MESA).
Mohamed Zameel Zihuny secured the Championship title of the Season One of the EAFC Maldives Championship Contender Series, securing a cash prize of MVR 8,000.
Raid Hassan placed second securing a cash prize of MVR 4,500, and Mohamed Rishfan Ahmed took third spot with a cash prize of MVR 2,500.
Ooredoo Maldives said its top objection for the Ooredoo Nation e-sports and gaming tournament aims to foster healthy competition and provide a platform for the e-gaming community to come together for healthy rivalry.
Ooredoo also said the championship tournament also holds a secondary aim of assisting local e-sports associations in boosting the popularity of healthy e-gaming competitions in the Maldives.
The next Contender Series under the Ooredoo Nation e-gaming tournament will be announced in the coming days, Ooredoo Maldives added.
