Saudi gifts 55-ton dates to Maldives

Saudi Arabian government has gifted 55 tons of dates to the Maldives on Thursday.

Ministry of Islamic Affairs confirmed Saudi Arabia entered into an agreement with the Maldives to gift 50 tons of dates, while an additional five tons were gifted to the ministry on Thursday by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance.

Signing took place at the Saudi Embassy in Maldives, with Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed signing on behalf of the Maldives government and Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives Matrek Abdullah Al-Ajalin Aldosari signed on behalf of the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia is known for gifting dates to the Maldives government every year during Ramadan.
