Pres vows efforts to strengthen insurance sector

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday, has promised his government will put effort on health insurance sector's overall improvement.

He said this in the serial Q&A program, 'Raeesge Javab' while responding to a question raised by a member of the public. President Muizzu said he will address the issue to all relevant stakeholders for a potential solution.

While President Muizzu has affirmed efforts to develop health insurance segment, the current government has launched works to expand medical transfer services to Thailand and UAE via Aasandha.

Dr. Muizzu said the state decided to expand medical transfer routes to ensure Maldivian citizens received health treatment from better quality facilities compared to present accessibility.
