Fathimath Dhiyana (Sandharu, Lh. Hinnavaru) was appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Customs by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday. She was presented with her letter of appointment by the Commissioner of Customs Yoosuf Maniu in a ceremony at the Customs Building on Sunday.

The Maldives Customs Service described the appointment as a powerful step towards gender equality and empowerment in the agency.
