In light of the last 10 days of Ramadan being public holidays, Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) states banks will be open on two days out of these 10 days.
MMA, in a post on X on Thursday, said MMA and commercial banks will be providing services to the public on April 1st and April 8th.
In this regard, all services including deposit and withdrawal of money will be available from the banks on these two days, similar to other working days on Ramadan.
Working hours are always shorter in Ramadan. However, the current administration has decided to make the last ten days of Ramadan public holidays starting this year.
As per the calendar, the first of Ramadan falls on March 11th this year.
