Asif appointed as CEO of SS Media

Mohamed Asif (Mondhu) has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sun Siyam Media.

Asif, who previously served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SS Media, was appointed to the new post on Wednesday.

He replaces the company’s former CEO Ibrahim Khaleel, who resigned to accept a post as Minister for Strategic Communications at the President’s Office.

Dr. Ashraf Abdul Raheem, the Chairman of SS Media’s Governing Board, congratulated Asif on his new appointment.

He also thanked Khaleel for his contributions to SS Media.

SS Media Group’s staff celebrated Asif’s appointment on Wednesday, and he briefed the staff regarding his plans for the company.

Asif began his career in media in 1991, as a producer at TVM. He worked his way up to become the state media’s COO. He also served as COO of VTV, and as President of Maldives Media Council.

He also runs his own production label, Mondhu Productions.
