President Muizzu meets MDA’s President Siyam

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Wednesday, has met with MDA’s President, Meedhoo MP Ahmed Siyam Mohamed.

The President’s Office announced the meeting between the two via a post on X, without disclosing any further details regarding the meeting.

Earlier today, President Muizzu also met with Qasim Ibrahim, the leader of Jumhoory Party (JP). The details of this meeting have not been disclosed either.

Following his meeting with Siyam, President Muizzu also met with MNP’s leader, Dhangethi MP Mohamed Nazim. MNP had formed a coalition with the government PPM-PNC coalition for the runoff round of the presidential election after an unsuccessful first round in which Nazim had only secured 1,907 votes.

Siyam and MDA also endorsed President Muizzu for the runoff of the election.

MDA and MNP has formed a four-party coalition with PPM-PNC. The four parties are set to contest next year’s parliamentary elections together.
