Fight breaks out in Addu; one seriously injured

A fight broke out between two groups in Addu City’s Hithadhoo on Friday, leaving a young man seriously injured with stab wounds.

A police spokesperson told Sun on Saturday that a 30-year-old Maldivian male sustained stab wounds in the incident.

He is being treated at the Addu Equatorial Hospital.

His condition is listed as serious, said the police.

The police did not say whether they have made any arrests in the case.

The case is under investigation by the police, said the spokesperson.
