Customs has seized four kilos of drugs from a Pakistani who traveled to Maldives via air last Saturday.
Customs, in a statement, said the drugs were seized 20-year-old Pakistani passenger’s luggage during a search initiated over suspicious behavior.
They said substance suspected to be drugs were found during the search of the passenger's luggage, which when tested, came back positive for heroin.
As per Customs, the drugs seized weighed 4.720 kilograms while its street value has been placed at MVR 5.8 million.
The drugs seized in the case, and the passenger has been handed over to Maldives Police Service, said Customs.
