Ooredoo Maldives’ new HQ opens in Hulhumale’

The Ooredoo Maldives’ new headquarters – equipped with modern facilities including a gym and a café – has opened near the Central Park in Hulhumale’.

The telecom company’s new headquarters was inaugurated by vice president Faisal Naseem on Monday night.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held at Central Park, Ooredoo Maldives' CEO Khalid Al-Hamadi said the company aims to build a “digital Maldives.”

He said that the new building will aid expanding the company’s services and bringing it closer to its goal.

“This is the end to a long wait. This will enhance the services provided by our company,” he said.

He thanked everyone who aided in developing the new headquarters.

Ooredoo Maldives’ new headquarters, built by China’s CCCEC, has 11 floors, including the basement.

It is equipped with a number of modern facilities, including:

• A quiet room
• Play area for children
• Hangout area
• Gym

Developed with a special focus on sustainability, the company’s new headquarters is built with laminated tampered glass. It is also equipped with a system to allow the flow of fresh air, and a system to manage the lighting.

It is also equipped with facilities to save water, and an automated fire system.

Ooredoo Maldives celebrated the inauguration of its new headquarters with fireworks.

The ceremony was attended by heads of the company.

Ooredoo Maldives was allocated land from Hulhumale’ for the construction of its new head office in March 2017. The company unveiled it’s the building’s design and broke ground on the project in October 2017, and began construction work in 2019.
