Police search for man suspected of raping 13-year-old girl

The police have announced the search for a man who entered a house in Male’ and raped a 13-year-old girl.

Police said that Saeed Ahmed, 55, of Male’ Dhaftharu 5113, is suspected of going into a house in Male’ and raping a 13-year-old girl at around 9:30pm last night.

Police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information on this man by contacting Maldives Police Service at 119, 3322111, 3000600, 3331510 or 9790163. The police have also assured to provide protection to persons who provide information.

The police also thanked the support received from the public in locating people accused of such crimes.
