Maldives’ oldest person dies at 110

A man who official records show as the oldest person in Maldives, died on Saturday, at the age of 110.

Ali Hussain, Manzaruge, S. Hithadhoo, was born on May 14th, 1913.

He had reportedly been in robust health up until his death of Saturday, and hadn’t suffered from any major ailment.

One of Hussain’s grandsons said that he had met his grandfather on Friday night.

He said that Hussain had been mobile, and had talked to him.

He appeared to have passed peacefully in his sleep.

Hussain in survived by his wife, nine children, 59 grandchildren, and 80 great-grandchildren.
