Police have taken into custody unidentified packages that washed ashore at the B. Fulhadhoo beach on Tuesday.
A police spokesperson said the agency is working on testing the substances in the packages.
Ahmed Asif, a councilman from Fulhadhoo, told Sun that 10 unidentified packages washed ashore at the island’s beach around 07:30 am Tuesday.
Officers from neighboring Goidhoo and Eydhafushi arrived and retrieved the packages, he said.
The packages are reportedly of at least three types of drugs.
