Glass sheets loaded on pickup fall, shattering on Sinamale’ bridge

A dangerous accident occurred on Wednesday after glass sheets loaded on a pickup fell off the vehicle on Sinamale’ Bridge.

The accident took place at approximately 4:15pm this evening. The pickup, which was entering the bridge from Lonuziyaarai Park side, was carrying a large number of glass sheets as can be deducted from photos received by Sun.

All glass sheets the pickup was carrying shattered in the accident. The pickup had a carrying capacity of 1.5 tonnes.

Police confirmed the incident was reported to them. No one was injured in the accident, as per the police.
