Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has opened an ATM in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
The ATM, located on the ground floor of the Vinares tower 10, was inaugurated by Urbanco’s managing director Ahmed Athif and MIB’s CEO Mufaddal Idris Khumri on Monday.
Speaking at the ceremony, Athif said the ATM is a huge convenience to the people living in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
Athif said the MIB is one of Urbanco’s closest partners, and has been instrumental in the corporation’s development projects in Hulhumale’.
Meanwhile, Khumri said the bank doesn’t want to stop with just an ATM, but also plan on opening a branch in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
He said the bank was committed to increasing the convenience of its customers.
“The population of Phase II is increasing. There are a lot of people already living here. Its important that the bank’s services are available here as the population increases,” he said.
In addition to opening the ATM, MIB has also dropped the charge on customers of other banks for using MIB’s ATMs.
MIB has ATMs in Male’, Vilimale’, Hulhumale’, as well as Kulhudhuffushi City, B. Eydhafushi, GDh. Thinadhoo, Fuvahmulah City, K. Thilafushi, and both Hithadhoo and Feydhoo in Addu City.
