Police officers and bystanders rescue man drifting at sea after fainting in Male' CIty.

Police officers rescued a man who was drifting at sea off Rasfannu Beach in Male’ City after fainting on Wednesday evening.

A video that went viral on social media shows a man drifting at sea near the seawall. He was motionless. Police officers and bystanders are seen trying to rescue him and bring him ashore.

A Police Spokesperson told Sun that the man, motionless, was spotted at approximately 4:44pm this evening. The man who was rescued while drifting at sea was identified by the police as a 24-year-old Maldivian man.

He was treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) following his rescue. The Police Spokesperson said his condition is stable at present.
