Teen sustains serious injuries in Thinadhoo accident

Two motorbikes collided in an accident in GDh. Thinadhoo on Sunday, resulting in serious injuries to one of the drivers.

The accident took place outside the Abubakr School on Sunday evening.

An official from the Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital told Sun that two men were brought in with injuries following the accident.

The official said one of the patients, a 19-year-old, is in serious condition.

“He is being treated at the ICU. Work is underway to transfer him to Male’ for further treatment,” said the official.

The hospital reports the condition of the second man injured in the accident is table. However, he, too, is being treated at the hospital.
