Islamic Ministry has announced its decision to hold ‘School Ihya Forum’ focused especially towards school children.

Speaking regarding Islamic Ministry’s preparations for Ramadan during a program SSTV on Wednesday night – the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Ahmed Adeel said that the ‘School Ihya Program’ is targeted towards higher secondary students in Male’ schools.

“Four schools, in this regard, have taken part in this program. This program would differ from the other ‘Ihya Forums’. This is as the program’s presentation and the required information and research will be undertaken by students of these schools,” he said.

Adeel noted that the students will be assisted by religious scholars.

The programs of the annual ‘Ihya Forum’, on the other hand, as usual, will be held at Islamic Centre’s Hall on Sundays and Thursdays.

“However, in the last week, Thursday falls on the moon sighting night for Shawwal. Therewith, the last program will be held on Wednesday night,” he said.

Adeel said that the topics of ‘Ihya Forum’ programs are decided based on prevailing issues in society.

He also underscored that ‘Ihya Forum’ will be held at more islands this time around.

“Nine forums are planned in Male’, while eight are planned in atolls,” he said.

Adeel also noted that religious lecturers will be held at Islamic Centre and King Salman Mosque every day after Asr prayer.

“Additionally, religious lecturers will proceed at 29 other mosques in Male’ area. However, this will not be on a daily basis,” he said.
