Police make second announcement seeking assistance to locate gang violence suspect

Maldives Police Service, on Thursday, made a second announcement seeking public help in locating a youth suspected of involvement in a case involving gang violence using sharp-edged weapons. 

The police asked for the public’s assistance in locating Ibrahim Faih Nizam, 25, Rahdhebaige, S. Maradhoo Feydhoo who has not been located since the initial announcement on February 15th. 

He is wanted in an investigation by the Serious and Organized Crime Department.

Police have asked anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Serious and Organized Crime Department at 9911099 or call the police hotline 3322111.

Police took the opportunity to thank the public for their support in such matters.

While the police did not disclose the specifics of the case Faih is wanted in connection to, Male’ City has been hit with a series of gang-linked attacks in recent weeks. In this regard, a youth was stabbed inside a shop in Male’ City’s Maafannu district on February 24th. He succumbed to his injuries days later.
