Police commence efforts to resolve traffic flow in Male’ area

Maldives Police Service, on Monday, commenced efforts to resolve the traffic flow in Male’ area under a special initiative.

Police said that they are always committed to ensure roads in Male’ area are a safe place for all including motorists and pedestrians.

In order to achieve this, the authority noted having commenced efforts under a special initiative on Monday to order roads in Male’ area including parking and high traffic zones in addition to resolving the traffic flow issues presently faced.

Therewith, Police informed increased presence of officers in areas where these efforts are underway, They also noted that officers will be meeting residents living in specific areas to brief them on the ongoing work and the conditions of the roads before initiating the work at a specific area.

Additionally, the Police said aged vehicles and illegally parked vehicles that hinder people from using the roads will be towed.

Furthermore, Police said they would be installing no-parking signs and other traffic signs on the roads in collaboration with relevant authorities.
