Young woman who stabbed brother in Male’ home arrested

A young woman has stabbed her brother in the head during a domestic dispute at a home in Male’ City on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said that they were informed of an individual being stabbed in a domestic dispute at a home in Henveiru district of Male’ City at 12:21pm this afternoon.

Police also stated that the injured victim has been transported to Senahiya for treatment. However, the extent of his injuries remain unclear.

The arrest of the assailant has been confirmed by the police, who has been identified as a Maldivian woman.

Police said that the case is under further investigation.

Witnesses near the home told Sun that the dispute was between a sister and a brother. Police have yet to disclose further details regarding the incident.
