The leader of Maldives Development Alliance and Meedhoo MP, Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, said today that the government has failed to provide the citizens of the Maldives with basic services.
He said in a tweet that people want to live a fulfilled and happy life.
ރައްޔިތުން ބޭނުންވަނީ ފުދުންތެރި ދެކޮޅުޖެހޭ އުފާވެރި ދިރިއުޅުމެއް އުޅެން. ސަރުކަާރުތަކުން ވަނީ ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ބޭނުންވާ އަސާސީ ޚިދްމަތްތައްވެސް ފޯރުކޮށްނުދެވި ބޮޑުތަނުން ފެއިލް ވެފައި.

He said that all the governments that have come so far have failed to provide the quintessential services required for the people to live such a life.
He also expressed concern over the recent passing of the bill that will increase the goods and service tax (GST) just as the country is on the cusp of an economic crisis.
Siyam also said that the increase in taxes will hinder the profit that fishermen get and that steps need to be taken to stop that from happening.
He further said that everyone needs to work together to overcome the issues that have surfaced following the economic recession.
