Ooredoo gifts TVs to MNDF for World Cup viewing

Ooredoo Maldives has gifted televisions to Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) – which will be used to facilitate viewing the awaited FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at MNDF’s establishments.

The televisions were handed over by Ooredoo’s Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director Khalid Al-Khamadi during a special ceremony held at Bandaarakoshi on Tuesday. Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi received the televisions on MNDF’s behalf.

MNDF said that the donated televisions will be used to facilitate World Cup viewing at the authority’s establishment, in addition to aiding MNDF officers in fulfilling their duties.

During the handover ceremony, Minister Mariya expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ooredoo Maldives for their continued support in various avenues. She detailed having discussed with several parties on procurement of televisions for MNDF, of which Ooredoo was the first to accept.

Ooredoo Maldives donated a total of five televisions.

MNDF noted that the telecom company has aided the authority in various manners under their Corporate Social Responsibility. They said that the company had always made their services easily accessible to MNDF personnel, and always maintained a close relationship with them.
