Snorkelling Chinese tourist still missing: MNDF

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has said that the Chinese woman who went missing while snorkeling, has still not been found.

MNDF Spokesperson Colonel Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef said today that search efforts by divers are still ongoing for the woman who went missing while snorkeling near Bandos Island Resort.

The age of the woman is not yet known.

The Coast Guard has appealed to vessels travelling near Bandos, to contact toll-free number 191 if they have any information on the woman.

Meanwhile, a tourist also died last week in an accident which involved Hulhumale’ Express and Bandos speedboats.
