Local telecom operator, Dhiraagu, has signed as the digital partner for ‘Chanaachaa 2022’ music festival organized by the popular local streaming application, Baiskoafu.
Announcing the partnership on Friday, Dhiraagu said that they a committed to support community engaging events such as this which provide more opportunities for youth in the Maldives to showcase their talents.
‘Chanaachaa 2022’ will be held on Saturday, October 29, at Huhumale’ Synthetic Track; from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and 8:00pm to 10:00pm.
Entrance for the evening session is free whilst entrance for the night sessions costs MVR 150. Tickets are currently up for sale – and can be purchased online.
Artist line-up for the festival boasts the Sri Lankan singer who rose to fame with ‘Manike Mage Hithe’, Yohani Diloka de Silva, and over 80 renowned local bands and musicians including Equatic Vibe, Traffic Jam. Achecia, Symbolic Records, Detune Band, Fasy Live, and Humble Bakari amongst others.
‘Chanaachaa’ is an annual music festival organized by Baiskoafu – to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their music. Baiskoafu said that this year’s festival will mark the biggest music festival in the Maldives. The festival is back this year after a two-year break, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
