Dhaniya appointed Iskandar School’s new captain

Iskandhar School has appointed a new school captain; Mariyam Dhaniya Ageel, a student from grade 10B2. 

A post awarding ceremony was held at Iskandhar School on Wednesday night, where students who had been selected for various school posts were sworn in - effectively commencing their term. 

President of the Dhivehi Language Academy Dr. Ashraf Abdul Raheem officiated the post awarding ceremony. Apart from Dr. Ashraf, the ceremony was attended by officials from Education Ministry, management of Iskandar School, teachers, parents and students.

While Dhaniyaa from grade 10B2 was appointed School Captain for the current academic year - Saaib Mohamed Zameeh from grade 10S1 and Aminath Raaniyaa from grade 10S3 were appointed Deputy School Captains. 

Mohamed Yaish Saamee from 10S1 was appointed as Activities Captain - whilst both Ranaan Rameez of grade 10S1 and Manaal Abdul Aulaa of grade 10B2 were appointed as Deputy Activities Captains. 

In addition to the aforementioned posts, students voted house captains, deputy house captains, and prefects also took their oaths during last night's ceremony. 

Formerly known as Hameediyya Montessori - Iskandhar School was founded in 1961. The name of the school was changed Iskandhar School in 1980. Presently, over 2,000 students currently study at the school.
