Although JSC accepted Shuaib’s decision to retire, a specific date for his retirement has not been set yet. Such a date will be decided after concluding the cases he is overseeing, or after completing the handover of the cases he handles to another judge.
Shuaib was appointed to the High Court on March 26, 2011.
He attained his LLB from Qatar University, Qatar in 1997. He completed his Master's in Comparative Law from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2006.

Shuaib taught at Majeedhiyaa School – and served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Faculty of Sharia and law.
