Former NASA astronaut visiting Maldives

American Center in Maldives has announced that former astronaut Heidimarie Stefanyshyn Piper will be visiting Maldives, and will be doing a meet and greet.

In the announcement made by the American Center, it stated that the meet and greet will take place at the National Museum on October 8, 2022, from 1040hrs till 1200 hrs.

Registration is currently open and will be closing at 1500hrs on October 7.

Stefanyshyn was chosen as an astronaut candidate in 1996. She went on two spacewalks in 2006 and 2008.

During her time as an astronaut, she belted over 27 days in space, with 22 hours and 42 minutes of spacewalking.
