Ooredoo unveils new logo, tagline as part of ongoing strategic business transformation

Local telecom giant, Ooredoo Maldives on Wednesday unveiled its brand-new logo and tagline, ‘Upgrade Your World – as part of an ongoing strategic business transformation.

The new logo was unveiled by Ooredoo Maldives’ CEO, Managing Director Khalid Al-Hamadi, from the Maldivian oceans.

As per the telecom company, the tagline ‘Upgrade Your World’ is about enabling human progress, reflecting Ooredoo’s commitment to keep improving, never standing still. Ooredoo said that the bold, vibrant, distinctive and upgraded visuality of the company emanates the same spirit and passion for which the company is celebrated, and reflects its forward-thinking attitude. 

Ooredoo states that it’s ‘Upgrade Your Word’ tagline empowers customers to make the choices that suit them, by giving them the flexibility, options and packages they need to take their experiences with the Ooredoo Maldives to a higher standard.

Ooredoo Maldives’ parent company, Ooredoo Group’s CEO, Managing Director Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo said that the exciting new phase of Ooredoo has been anticipated for a while now.

“It is the continuation of our successful transformation program to embed a culture of continuous evolution in all aspects of our business, from improving the employee and customer experiences to ultimately improving value for our shareholders,” he added.

Ooredoo Maldives’ CEO, Managing Director Al-Hamadi said that the company’s new tagline reflects milestones achieved by the company, their diverse transformation beyond connectivity and well defines its mission and vision to enable the endless possibilities and opportunities technology has to offer.

“Leveraging on our strong 5G network, we remain steadfast to power the digital transformation and enable our customers, businesses and communities in this era of Smart Cities, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence. We remain committed to upgrade your world in every aspect and to keep you moving forward in life,” he added.

Since its establishment in 2005 – Ooredoo Maldives has rapidly grown into a leading player in the Maldivian telecommunications sector, through continuous investments in network infrastructure, introduction of digital services, driving businesses and communities increasing the brand value year by year.

The telecom operator belted great achievements and reached major milestones including the commercial launch of Ooredoo 5G AirFibre – the first ever 5G home broadband service in the Maldives in 2021.

Leveraging on this advanced network and international partnerships – Ooredoo Maldives is enabling driving the adoption of the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence through 5G.
