Ex-MP Abdulla Abdul Raheem appointed to Dhiraagu board

Former parliamentarian Abdulla Abdul Raheem who was appointed as a director of telecom company, Dhiraagu.

Former parliamentarian Abdulla Abdul Raheem has been appointed to the Director’s Board of telecom company, Dhiraagu.

Privatization and Corporatization Board announce the appointment of Abdulla Abdul Raheem as a director representing the government which holds 41.8 percent shares in the company on Tuesday.

With his appointment, the current composition of Dhiraagu’s board is as follows;

  • Ismail Waheed, Chairman
  • Ahmed Abdul Rahman, Deputy Chairman
  • Ismail Rasheed, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director
  • Ahmed Mohamed Didi, Director
  • Faisal Qamhiyah, Director
  • Mikkel Vinter, Director
  • Faisal Aljalahma, Director

Abdulla Abdul Raheem was elected to as the parliament member for West Maafannu consistency on Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party’s (DRP) ticket. However, he later on left the party to sign with Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
