Soldiers drain flooded streets as rain continues to batter Male’

Officers from the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Service have been dispatched to drain the flooded streets as rain continues to batter Male’ City.

Maldives is currently experiencing the effects of the Hulhangu Monsoon.

Rain has been pouring non-stop over Male’ City since Sunday afternoon, flooding the streets. Flood water has has seeped into some of the homes.

Officers from the MNDF Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to drain the flood water at approximately 05:30 pm, to Boduthakurufaanu Magu, Maafannu Track area, and IGMH area.

The streets remain flooded as it continues to rain over the capital.
